Lafayette Parish Jail Roster
The official local roster path starts with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office Offender Information page. LPSO says its 365Labs Community Portal replaced JADES and gives access to information that had been available in the older system, except for features that were still being phased in during the transition. The portal covers currently housed inmates at Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and recent bookings.
The roster is not the only access channel. The LPSO Daily Arrest Report gives arrest entries by date, the LPCC phone line can help with custody questions, and LPSO Records handles requests for records not posted online. For a person who has moved from local jail into a state sentence, the Louisiana DPS&C/LAVNS path is more useful than the LPCC roster alone.
The LPSO offender information guide is one of the better sources for how the portal works. The official guide explains the agency prompt, sign-in or registration step, inmate lookup tool, blank searches, and VINE notification link.
Use that guide when the portal opens to a login or blank screen. LPSO says search results do not show by default until the Search button is clicked.
Use Lafayette Parish Inmate Roster
The portal can be searched broadly or by person. LPSO says that if the system asks users to select an agency, choose LPSO. New users may need to register with an email address and password. Once signed in, select "Lookup Inmates." A blank-name search can return current inmates, while a name or booking number narrows the result.
- Open the LPSO Offender Information page and follow the Community Portal link.
- Select LPSO if the agency prompt appears.
- Register or sign in if the portal asks for an account.
- Select "Lookup Inmates" and choose current, recent, all, or recent-release results where available.
- Search by first name, last name, or booking number, then open the matching record.
If no result appears, try last name only, verify spelling, use a booking number when known, and search both current and recent views. LPSO source text is inconsistent on the recent-booking window, using both 48-hour and 72-hour language, so checking all relevant filters is the safest route.
Lafayette Parish Roster Fields
The roster search fields are simple, but the result view can depend on which filter is active. The system may not display any people until Search is clicked. The booking number is especially useful because LPSO also says it can be used as the VINE ID number when a VINE lookup does not open automatically from the offender record.

Lafayette Parish Inmate Profile
An LPCC profile may show booking, charge, demographic, release, and agency information. LPSO cautioned that some demographic fields were affected by the move from JADES to 365Labs, including date of birth, race, height, weight, and hair color. Research notes found DOB, race, and age visible in some public data, but not every demographic field was observed. The safer reading is that fields vary by record and system status.

Daily Arrest Report Records
The Daily Arrest Report is a second local source for recent jail-related facts. It is not the same as a current custody roster. Its visible fields include name, age, arrest date and time, address or block, charges, arresting agency, cause for arrest, property, associates, and incident number. Examples captured in the research included active warrant arrests, bench warrants, fugitive warrants, Hold for DOC, and Hold for Other Agency.
The report is useful when a booking has not been found in the roster view or when the reader needs the arresting agency and cause for arrest. It should not be treated as proof that the person is still in custody. Current custody still depends on the LPCC roster, LPCC phone confirmation, VINE, or the responsible agency.
Lafayette Parish Jail Facility
Lafayette Parish has one adult facility in the facility map: Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. The jail is listed by Louisiana DPS&C as the Lafayette Parish local jail, not as a state prison. It is used for local booking, identification, inmate housing, and related corrections services for Lafayette city and other municipalities.

Lafayette Inmates by Custody
Not every person tied to a Lafayette Parish arrest remains in LPCC. Louisiana has a state/local custody system in which local jails may house state-related offenders, and LPSO program materials mention DOC offenders in reentry programs. Federal and immigration custody use separate systems. A search should follow the agency that controls the custody status, not just the arrest location.

Booking at Lafayette Parish Jail
LPCC is the booking and identification center for Lafayette Parish and local municipalities. A typical path is arrest by LPSO or another local agency, transport or transfer to LPCC, intake and booking, creation of a jail management record, possible daily arrest report listing, classification, housing assignment, and then bond, first appearance, court processing, release, or transfer.
LPSO program material gives added detail for some processing channels. The Offender Processing Center description for DSU/reentry participants mentions AFIS fingerprinting, property check and bagging, and orientation into the assigned program. The public research did not locate a full LPCC property-release policy, so property questions should be confirmed with the jail.

Lafayette Parish Jail Visits
The LPSO contact page lists the Visitation Center at 220 West Willow Street, Building D, Lafayette, LA 70501. LPSO says this is an onsite video visitation center. The phone and video service changed to Ally Telecom Group, and friends or family can set up prepaid accounts and video visits through Ally Telecom Group. A full current schedule and fee table were not located in official text.

LPSO's February 28, 2025 dress-code PDF applies to corrections facilities and video visitation. Staff may refuse or cancel visits when clothing violates security or dress standards, including offensive, gang-related, revealing, see-through, low-cut, sleeveless, skin-tight, or improper footwear items.
Mail, Money, and Phone
Personal mail changed to digital scanning effective March 1, 2025. Personal mail goes to the JailATM scan address in Jonesboro, Arkansas, not to the legal mail address at LPCC. Legal and privileged mail remains separate. Money orders, lobby kiosk deposits, and a 1010 Lafayette Street cash option are documented by LPSO, but users should confirm custody before sending money.

LPSO Records Request Backup
When the roster, daily arrest report, VINE, or phone call does not answer a records question, LPSO Records is the local fallback. The Records Department handles offense and accident reports, inmate files, background checks, fingerprinting, public-record requests, and related records. LPSO says requests must be made only in person, by email to recordsrequest@lafayettesheriff.com, or by U.S. mail to Captain John Mowell, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, P.O. Box 3508, Lafayette, LA 70502.
Fees are specific. LPSO lists a Daily Booking Report at $10.00, a Letter of Incarceration at $5.00, Incident and Initial Reports at $10.00, and other documents or photos at $1.00 per page or photo. Audio and video fees are listed separately. Criminal records remain subject to Louisiana public-record restrictions, including privileged investigative material and juvenile or victim-identifying information.
Lafayette Sheriff Mobile App
The Lafayette Sheriff mobile app is an additional channel, not the only source. The Google Play listing identifies the app as "Lafayette Sheriff" by OCV, LLC and describes features such as announcements, emergency alerts, news, hiring positions, sex offenders, missing children, and "Who's in Jail?" The research did not prove that inmate lookup is app-only, so the official web roster should remain part of the search chain.
